Clambering over rocks, searching for whatever treasures lie waiting down below, my daughter Morgan enjoys a lazy summer afternoon lost in her own little world. The slight change in hue and value between the rocks, the water and the reflections was one of the biggest challenges to this piece. A combination of larger and smaller pieces and a wide variety of fabrics help to convey some of the movement.

Techniques: Machine pieced, machine quilted
Materials: Cotton fabrics, cotton and rayon threads
